Chowmas — Purification & Renewal
Chowmas (also known as Chaumos) is the most sacred and significant festival of the Kalash people, celebrated during the winter solstice in December. This ancient festival lasts for 7 to 10 days and marks the end of the harvest season, the beginning of winter, and a time for spiritual cleansing, honoring ancestors, and celebrating community bonds.
